Pre-game notes: Bruins vs. Wild 2/19/2012

Super short and very late analysis today, as I haven’t been able to get out of bed since the devastating Chris Kelly tooth injury that occured yesterday morning. Fridays loss to Winnipeg hurt real bad guys. The first period showed legitimate promise, and then the wheels fell off. The B’s lost absolute control of that game, and we all wept. Just have to move on. I wonder how many times we can say that before its meaningless? I’ll give it a couple more games. Time to get wild.

After what seemed like a very promising start to the NHL season, Minnesota has dropped to 12th in the West with 59 points. They’ve lost 8 of their last ten games, including a 4-0 loss to the Blues yesterday.  They have also scored the second least amount of goals in the NHL with 129. Compared to our 190, this should be an easy game. But we’ve said that for the last like 5 games, and absolutely none of them  have been easy.

Players to Watch:

Dany Heatley–  He’s played 41 games against Boston. He’s 18-22-40 in those 41 games. Enough said.

Cal Clutterbuck-  Easily has the coolest stache in the NHL. Its not really a good reason to watch him but I digress.

Projected Lines:

Lucic-Krejci-Pouliot

Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin

Paille-Kelly-Caron

Campbell-Hennessy-Thornton

Chara-Boychuk

Seidenberg-Corvo

Ference-McQuaid

No word on whether its Tuukka or Timmy in net. It doesn’t really matter, both are equally good, the problem is the people defending. *shakes fist at Corvo*

Final Thoughts:

Kelly and Seguin are both beginning a point streak, so lets hope that carries into this game and for the rest of the road trip.

Krejci netted his first goal in a quite a few games. Is this a turning point for him?
