We have finally reached the end of a record-breaking season for the Boston Bruins. With both their ups and downs, we have had many players reach the 20+ goal mark, several hat tricks, shut outs, and a lot of fighting majors. The Bruins are set to face the Buffalo Sabres in what should be a great afternoon game. This season, the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins have had quite the history form between these two teams. It all started with Milan Lucic’s run into Ryan Miller when Miller was out in the middle of no where on the ice. Ever since, the Sabres have tried to get back at the Bruins. I expect a pretty rowdy game to occur between these two teams as they face off at 4pm.
And if you’re in the Boston area, don’t forget that today is Fan Appreciation Day! There will be a lot of festivities to check out so go nuts.
So let’s get right down to the lineups for today’s game. I’m not sure how long my internet will last since I’m on a bus to the great wilderness of the North (Maine) for Easter weekend. It looks like McQuaid and Boychuk will still be out for today’s game.
Lucic – Krejci – Peverley
Marchand – Bergeron – Seguin
Pouliot – Kelly – Rolston
Paille – Campbell – Thornton
Seidenberg – Chara
Ference – Corvo
Mottau (or Zanon) – Krug
I’m actually really uncertain about the defensive pairings only because both Boychuk and McQuaid are still day-to-day, so I guess we shall see what happens there.
Expect Tim Thomas to be the starting goaltender against the Sabres today.
During the middle of the game, or by the end, the Bruins will know for certain who they will be hosting in the first round of the playoffs. As of right now, it looks to be the Ottawa Senators, but if they lose and if the Capitals win against the Rangers today, then the Capitals will leap frog over the Senators and face us in the playoffs.
